Josh Malihabadi is a great Urdu romantic and revolutionary poet. He is also known as the poet of Youth. His earned his everlasting fame not only by his poetry but also by his autobiography “Yadoon ki Baraat”.This book is an excellent reflection of cultural and social life of his era. He remained a constant target of criticism by his critics due to this autobiography. He narrated his personal marital life without any exaggeration .He unveileded some of the flaws of his life and also highlighted positive aspects of his life. He wrote a chapter “Mere Muashqe” in his book Yadoon ki Baraat in which he discussed some of love stories of his prime time .Josh disclosed some of the love stories of some famous personalities and became a controversial figure. He also discussed his relationship with his wife in detail. He tried his best to show that woman is not mere a sex toy but a life partner (Better Half) who stands in every ups and downs of life. This aspect of woman remained hidden from the eye of his critics who just targeted him for self-created tales about him. It is true that the start of Josh’s marital life was not pleasant but later it turned to be a good companionship. Suit of dissolution of marriage by his in ۔laws created some miss understandings but Josh wrote all about his life with full honesty it in his book. When he remained busy in political activities and most of his time spent outside of his house, his wife missed him and wrote letters to him to show her strong affiliation with him .Once he toured Hyderabad Dakin and his wife reached there in no time with all her children .She heard the news of second marriage of Josh but this news turned to be false and she was extremely happy and thanked God .Though the love stories of Josh were being discussed by many critics yet none of them ever tried to probe into these stories to justify these. Over all his marital life was satisfactory and he accepted it with open mindedness. We have tried our level best to show the reality with honesty and true intension.
