Abstract

Akbar Ala Abadi is a famous poet of Urdu literature. He had great standing in maintaining a standard in historical, revolutionary and resistant era of poetry. By the amalgamation of conventional and modern ideas, he gave a new language, accent and thought to readers of Urdu literature. He presented realities of life in a simple but attractive way. Keeping in view societal abnormalities, he adopted humoristic way of writing. Irrespective of his humoristic nature, he possessed soft corner for the down trodden people of his nation, Akbar Ala Abadi's piece of writings revolves around national culture and civilizations. It was the time when our culture and civilization was on the brink of extinction, he considered religion and belief, the foundation of our lifestyle. His unshakeable love for his religion and national interest forced him to raise voice against the brutal forces of the west blatantly. In this article, poetry of Akbar Ala Abadi will be examined in the light of resistant elements.
