Abstract
Intolerance is one of the most important problems that religious extremism has created in the present era. As a result, extremism has been promoted all over the world. Even during the partition of India, such an atmosphere came into existence on the basis of religion. Qasmi has consistently wrote against religious prejudice and in favor of religious tolerance. He saw religious extremism and intolerance not only in the context of the partition of India, but also in the society where people of different religions live, and violent situations arise on religious grounds. In this research paper, Qasmi Sahib's short stories have been analyzed in the background of religious tolerance. The society depicted in the legends of Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. In this, religious discrimination and the resulting hatred is seen as a manifestation of social reality. In such places, Qasmi Sahib tries to hold and raise the knowledge of humanity. Qasimi Sahib's relationship with the progressive movement was literally lifelong.
